Tamarindo is in the region of Guanacaste famous for its tropical dry forest setting and year-round sun. This ATV & UTV tour gives you the opportunity to explore the area in an adventurous way by driving along unpaved roads through the mountains and down to the beach.
Your local bilingual guide will go through the necessary safety instructions and fit you with your helmet. You will then have a chance to practice on your fully equipped Honda ATV or UTV before heading off along scenic trails into the mountains.
On the mountain trail, you will head up into the hills where you can take in the natural beauty of the native flora and fauna of the Guanacaste region. Spot Guanacaste Trees and rare Pochote trees while enjoying the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
On the beach trail, you will head up the coast passing some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica like Puerto viejo and Playa Conchal You will take a break on a quiet beach with crystal-clear water where you can cool off with a swim in the Pacific Ocean.
Tours run at 9 AM, 12 PM and 3 PM.

What To Bring
- Comfortable, light clothing that you are not worried about damaging
- A change of clothes for after the tour
- Sneakers or closed toe shoes are mandatory
Please Note
Children policy
– 5 years & under are free
– under 16 not allowed to drive an ATV. Children under 16 are allowed only as an extra passenger (charged as passenger, not as a driver)
– 16 years and older can drive their own ATV
Weather conditions
Our ATV Tours are very different in the rainy and dry seasons – Tamarindo is extremely dry during the dry season and there is little or no mud or water.
We do our best to ensure each tour is a great experience for all of our guests, regardless of the weather. If you have any questions about the weather conditions, please let us know before booking your tour!
